    The 1990 Pittsburgh Pirates season was the 109th season of the Pittsburgh Pirates franchise; the 104th in Major League Baseball (MLB). The Pirates finished first in the National League East with a record of 95–67. They were defeated four games to two by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1990 National League Championship Series.
