The 1992-93 NBA season was the Pistons' 45th season in the NBA and 36th season in the city of Detroit.[1] Detroit struggled and finished sixth in the Central Division with a 40-42 record, missing the playoffs. The following season, Dennis Rodman would be sent to the San Antonio Spurs for Sean Elliott.
