    The New York Mets' 2004 season was the 43rd regular season for the Mets. They went 71-91 and finished 4th in the NL East. They were managed by Art Howe. They played home games at Shea Stadium.

    • October 9, 2003: Marco Scutaro was selected off waivers by the Oakland Athletics from the New York Mets.[1]
