The 2018 ICC World Cup Qualifier will be a cricket tournament to decide the final qualification for the 2019 World Cup. The top two teams will qualify for the World Cup joining the other top 8 teams who will have already qualified through the ICC ODI Championship.

As it was decided to reduce teams in 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, new world cup qualifications were introduced where even test playing nation could miss World Cup for the first time in World Cup. Ireland and Afghanistan were included in ICC ODI Championship for the direct qualification to World Cup as top 8 teams qualify as on 30 September 2017.[1] The bottom 4 teams in ranking will be joined by top 4 teams in 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship and finalists of 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two.
