Air India Regional is an Indian airline which was started as a low-cost arm of Indian as Alliance Air. As part of Indian's merger with Air India, it was renamed Air India Regional.[1] It operates 170 weekly flights to 25 domestic destinations as a subsidiary of Air India.[2]

History

The airline was established on 1 April 1996 and started operations on 21 June 1996. It was wholly owned by Indian. The airline was renamed Air India Regional in the merger between Air India and Indian Airlines.

Destinations

The airline serves Tier II and Tier III cities via the hubs of Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai & Bengaluru. These hubs are connected to 25 destinations in India i.e., Agatti, Agra, Allahabad, Asansol-Durgapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Bhuj, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharamshala, Guwahati, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kullu, Lilabari, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Pantnagar, Pondicherry, Port Blair, Shillong, Silchar, Surat and Tezpur.[2]
