Robert Vilarian Borkowski (born January 27, 1926 in Dayton, Ohio) is a former outfielder in Major League Baseball. He played from 1950 to 1955 with the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and Brooklyn Dodgers.
Borkowski originally signed with the Cubs as a pitcher in 1946. In his first professional season, he went 18–9 in the Class D Appalachian League. He also played nearly 100 games in the outfield and batted .384. Borkowski was then converted into a full-time outfielder. In 1949, he batted .376 to win the Southern Association batting title, and he made his major league debut the following season.
Borkowski hit well as a rookie; however, in 1951 he slumped and was traded to the Reds. He played his only full major league season in 1952. In 1955, he was traded to the Dodgers. Borkowski hit .105 in nine games and was sent down to the minors. He played in AAA before retiring from baseball in 1958.
