Bryan Herb (born in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1973[citation needed]) is a gay travel TV personality and Board Chair of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association, as well as the co-owner of Zoom Vacations, a gay tour company based in the United States.[1]

Career

Bryan attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and majored in English Writing and Public Relations.[2]

Bryan Herb was a high school English Teacher in Houston, Texas as part of the Teach For America program and then later in New York City.[citation needed] While living in New York, he also worked as a personal trainer, model, actor, and freelance writer.[citation needed] He then moved to Chicago and took a job as a marketing and special events manager for Hotel 71.[citation needed] The tragedy of September 11, and it motivated him to start a Zoom Vacations, a gay vacation company.[citation needed] He became Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association in 2008 and was re-elected in 2009.[3]

Herb was one of three travel experts featured on nine episodes of the Travel Channel's show, "Vacation Challenge". In 2007 he was the South America Gay Travel expert for Bump!, a gay and lesbian travel show. In 2009, Comcast Cable in Chicago selected Herb as their on-air gay travel host.[4]

He is the gay travel expert for several gay online and print publications including ChicagoPride.com and away.com.[5]
