Emerald City is an American fantasy television series based on the Land of Oz book series written by L. Frank Baum. A 10-episode first season has been ordered by NBC.[1]

The series was originally slated to air in 2015, with filming scheduled to begin in 2014.[2] However, the series was canceled before entering production.[3]

On April 15, 2015, NBC reversed course and decided to go ahead with the series after all and will now air it sometime in 2016.[4]
