- Louisiana The Perfect Hot Sauce Louisiana Hot Sauce does not contain xanthan gum. It is made from aged peppers, vinegar and salt. It is hotter than Texas Pete, milder than Tabasco (primarily due to the use of cayenne peppers instead of Tabasco peppers).
