Omar Samuel Pasley (born 3 September 1986), better known by his stage name OMI, is a Jamaican-born singer. OMI was born in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica[1] and is currently signed to Ultra Records, a part of Sony Music.[2]

In 2014, his single "Cheerleader" was remixed by Felix Jaehn and has been seeing global success. It has gone to number one in several countries, including the United Kingdom. In the United States, the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 95 in May 2015;[3] its highest peak to date is number 27.[4] In May 2015, OMI made history when "Cheerleader" topped the United Kingdom Pop Chart for the fourth week in a row, marking the longest consecutive period any Jamaican artist has held that spot.[5]
