Founder

Dr. Kallol Guha, PhD, DSc, established Saint James School of Medicine in 1999. Dr Guha's mission is to make high quality medical education accessible and affordable to those who are academically competent and motivated, and have a willingness to work for the community. The mission of Saint James School of Medicine is to help motivated students realize their dream of a medical career, irrespective of ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds. It is Dr Guha's belief that a high quality medical education should be affordable and accessible to everyone with the commitment and the ability to succeed in a career in medicine. [4]

Curriculum

The MD program at Saint James is a 10 semester course of study that consists of three semesters per calendar year. Semesters 1-4 are basic sciences semesters that are completed at one of the school's three Caribbean campuses. Semester 5 (Advanced Introduction to Clinical Medicine) is completed at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Semesters 6-10 consist of 96 weeks of clinical study that are completed at affiliated hospitals and clinical facilities in the United States.[5]
