Tassajara (until 1959, Tassajero;[1] also formerly called Tasajero and Tassajera[3]) is an unincorporated community in Contra Costa County, California, United States.[1] It is located on the east bank of Tassajara Creek, Script error: No such module "convert". south-southeast of Mount Diablo,[3] at an elevation of 709 feet (216 m).[1] Together with Blackhawk it forms the Blackhawk-Camino Tassajara census designated place (CDP).

A post office operated at Tassajara from 1896 to 1922.[3]
